How fun! My husband and I took the wedding Bootcamp with trepidation. By the end of the class (which flew by), we were hooked! Our instructor instantly demystified the basics and had us dancing and twirling (in unison!) within the hour. Can't wait to go back next week for our private lesson. Gorgette. G This is a great place to learn your first dance. My husband and I decided to do the wedding package, that included ballroom group classes followed by private lessons. I highly recommend taking group classes first to work on techniques, leading (guy), and following (ladies). The ballroom group classes helped because it introduced us to the different styles of partner dancing and that's how we decided on the Foxtrot. After the 6 week course was over, we were introduced to Mimi and she choreographed our routine based on our skill level. She was an amazing teacher that concentrated on making us look great! Suzie W. Dancing is something I've always wanted to to do especially with my fiance but in the six years of dating, we have never danced together....until now. For our wedding we knew we would need dance classes. My fiance reluctantly obliged, being a punk rock guitar player who swears he'd rather play music than dance to it. Nonetheless, we signed up for 4 private lessons and The Wedding Dance Bootcamp. From the moment our instructor, Larisa, stepped into the room, she had us steppin', swingin' and dippin'. My fiance and I both ended up having so much fun, we will definitely be continuing our "date night" dance classes at Third Street dance after the wedding. The staff at 3rd Street Dance are specialists in preparing couples for this once in a lifetime evening. Our goal is to help you look elegant elegant and feel comfortable while dancing in front of your family and friends. Couples will often take our Bootcamp or one of our Swing or Ballroom  sessions to begin their dance training. These classes cover the traditional partner dances,  as well as  romantic moves for slow contemporary music. We recommend that couples take a series of  Private Lessons to focus exclusively on their "First Dance." We can customize a first dance for you that will make you look and feel great dancing to your favorite song. If you need help picking a song, our teachers can assist you in making a selection. It is best to begin dance lessons at least two or three months before your wedding. That way the lessons can proceed at a comfortable pace. The wedding package of four private lessons and eight group classes will meet the needs of most couples.
